You stare down at me, your face twisted in shame and revulsion. I don't need your pity, Obi-Wan. You think you've bested me because you've taken away my limbs. My flesh means nothing to me. Nothing! You are nothing, my old master. You are a tired old shell who once thought he knew what was best for me, who hindered me from attaining my true potential in the Force. You knew nothing.
I draw my anger in and focus it all on you, you who taught me so well. Oh, yes, you did. You taught me to cut myself off from my feelings, from my mother, from my wife. You taught me the holy words of the ancient Jedi: A Jedi shall not know anger...nor love...nor hate. What did you come to teach me today, Master?
My new master is right: my anger gives me focus. I feel the warmth of my hatred crawling up my spine as you spit your shallow words of piety and regret to me. Go on. Say that I have turned my back on my destiny. Say that you're disappointed in me. Say that you loved me.
Come rescue me, you facetious old fool. Come take pity on me, and see where your true destiny lies....
For that is what has always come from your mouth, Obi-Wan, just lies. You call me your brother? When have you ever treated me as an equal? I was always your padawan, and you were always my master. Always was I the scum under your oppressive boot.
My flesh and blood boil over for hatred of you, and flame consumes me. I watch you watching me until neither of us can bear it. You think the lesson is over, and you turn to go.
Don't you walk away from me.
The next time we meet, it is I who shall be the master. This, I promise you.
